Get ready for ten unmissable days of free events celebrating Norfolk’s history and culture including an exclusive morning of Hidden History of Norwich Tours!
For one day only we are hosting exclusive Heritage Open Days tours of our mysterious ‘hidden street’ in the former Ponds Foot Fitters. Tours will take place on Wednesday 15th September, prebooking is essential!
Come join our tour, led by a local storyteller, historian and performer. Journey with us down two flights of stairs to explore the layers of architecture dating from the 15th century.
Hidden below Castle Meadow, between the market and the Norman Keep, you can discover the past of our Fine City, with its trades, houses and people. Ponder the myths of eerie prison cells, hidden streets and curious tunnels. Come help us unlock the many mysteries of this space…
Can’t make Wednesday 15th September or missed out on tickets? Don’t panic! We run our Hidden History of Norwich tours throughout the year and you can book your tickets here. Proceeds from these tours support The Shoebox Community Hub to build communities and reduce social isolation and loneliness. You can read more about our community hub here.
