- delivering historical tours of Norwich’s Hidden Street
- ensuring our customers and visitors receive a warm welcome and that they leave delighted with their experience at The Shoebox
- handling general customer enquiries and assisting with the booking process for tours and experiences.
The role is 4 hours per week on an annualised basis, with a salary of £2,496pa (£12 p/h) and is based at The Shoebox Experiences in Norwich.

The role of an Experience Host
You will be responsible for delivering high quality customer experiences, working under your own supervision. Your role is to ensure the best possible customer experience from the moment the customer arrives, throughout their experience and to the moment they leave.
This includes ensuring that the venue is well-presented, and that a safe and appropriate environment is always maintained. You will be fully responsible for all aspects of your shift, from opening up premises and looking after customers (both in person and digital/phone enquiries), to closing down and securing premises. You’ll be confident about lone-working and in atmospheric, and often cold, historic buildings!
You’ll be working in a venue which is also home to our Shoebox Community Hub and will at all times be expected to operate in a compassionate and supportive way, ensuring everyone feels welcome and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the venue.
