We\u2019re looking for a charismatic communicator to join our team as an Experience Host for our much-loved Hidden Street Tour.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Since opening in 2017, <a href=\"\/the-shoebox-experiences\/experience\/norwichs-hidden-street-tour\/\">Norwich\u2019s Hidden Street<\/a> has welcomed thousands of visitors keen to uncover the city\u2019s buried past. From medieval alleyways to centuries-old tales, our tours have become one of Norwich\u2019s top-rated attractions, helping to fund the vital community work we do through <a href=\"\/whats-on\">The Shoebox Community<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an Experience Host, you\u2019ll deliver high-quality, memorable tours that delight and inspire visitors. You\u2019ll make sure every guest has a brilliant experience from the moment they arrive, sharing fascinating stories and ensuring the venue is always welcoming and well-presented. You\u2019ll also help with day-to-day operations, from handling bookings and enquiries to supporting new experiences as they develop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What we\u2019re looking for<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re seeking someone who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Has excellent storytelling and communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enjoys working with people and delivering exceptional customer service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is enthusiastic about local history<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can work independently and take pride in creating a great visitor experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in public speaking, tour guiding or performing is desirable, but not essential &#8211; full training will be provided. Most importantly, we\u2019re after someone who brings energy, warmth and curiosity to the role<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can offer flexibility with their availability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The details<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Role: Experience Host<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hours: Average 18.5 hours per week (annualised, flexibility required to suit seasonality)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pay: \u00a312.60 per hour (Real Living Wage)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shifts can be up to 10 hours maximum &#8211; the role is primarily to cover peak seasons, approximately 3 out of 4 weekends, staff holiday and unforeseen staff shortages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contract: Permanent, based at The Shoebox Community Hub, 21-23 Castle Meadow, Norwich<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline to apply:<\/strong> 5pm, Thursday 28 November 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why join us?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>When you join The Shoebox, you become part of something bigger.
