A special Nature Natter at our Monday Social
On Monday 10th November, The Shoebox Community Hub, Great Yarmouth hosted a special Nature Natter Social and welcomed Denzil from the Norfolk Wildlife Trust.
Denzil shared stories about local wildlife and spoke with real passion for all things nature. He brought along some fascinating gadgets for everyone to try, including a bird listening device with a parabolic microphone, binoculars and a microscope. Our community members enjoyed collecting natural items to examine under the microscope. They loved getting a closer look at the tiny details that make our local environment so special.
We’re very grateful to Denzil for leaving binoculars and wildlife spotter sheets. These gifts mean we can keep exploring and identifying wildlife in our area.

This session also launched our new project to support local residents to improve a local green space outside the hub. We’re exploring opportunities to make it more welcoming and attractive space where everyone can relax, meet others and connect with nature. Watch this space for more updates!
