Here are our latest community projects which aim to build community and reduce loneliness and social isolation…
Keepsake is a monthly magazine designed and produced by our community. It features articles from local people covering everything from lockdown survival tips, current affairs to health and wellbeing, as well as quirky history and ideas for new things to try. There’s something for everyone!
If you would like to submit an article for inclusion in the magazine or would like to join our Creation Group please email email@example.com
Peer Support workshops.
The Shoebox hosts and supports a wide range of peer support and community groups who are all working to help build community and reduce loneliness and social isolation.
Thanks to Better Together Norfolk, we are able to offer free training and workshops for people aged 18+ who are involved in a peer support or community group in Norwich (not just through our community hub) or are interested in setting one up.
Everyone is welcome to join. Spaces are limited. All workshops will be delivered through Zoom.
The first set of workshops finished at the end of April but we will be announcing more dates soon.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01603 850309 if you are interested in attending any of these upcoming workshops or would like to express interest in future courses.
Baking for Wellbeing.
The project will run new Baking for Wellbeing courses bringing people together to combat loneliness and isolation while learning a new skill. Led by Mark Ahier, the courses are for all abilities from complete novices to the more experienced to bake together in a fun and inclusive Covid Secure environment.
