Members can join these groups in person at The Shoebox or you can join for free via Zoom. Get in touch to receive the Zoom link and sign up for a free Virtual Membership.

Information Drop-In: Norwich Age UK


Available on the third Monday of every month. Are you aged over 50 and need advice? An adviser from AgeUK Norwich will be available to offer informal advice and guidance on a range of issues such as benefits, debt, staying active or maybe you want to chat about something else?

Simply come along to The Shoebox to meet an advisor from Age Uk.

Digital Drop In


On the second and fourth Tuesday of every month we are joined by some fantastic Digital Inclusion Volunteers from Voluntary Norfolk. You can bring your own digital device from home to get support with or try out one of our PCs, Chromebooks or tablets in a fun, kind, and supportive environment.

On the first and third Wednesday of every month, you can come together with like-minded women for support, conversation, and laughs!

Let’s talk M.E.


On the second and fourth Wednesday of every month join this friendly and welcoming group for people who live with the diagnosis of M.E., Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia and chronic pain. Come along and share your experiences, make connections and gain support from others.

Bridges Creative Writing Group


Creative writing group for people who have had, or are experiencing, mental health problems. Bring along any sort of writing to share and discuss. Take part in lively discussion and energetic writing exercises. Honesty box provided for drinks. Maximum of 9 people. Option to take part online as well as in person.

The Bridge Social Group


A social group for young adults (18-30 year olds) moving between services or who are ready to make changes and require some support.

Everyone is welcome, no referral is needed. The Bridge is a member-led community group.

Women’s Wondrous Words


Weekly creative writing group every Thursday afternoon for women in Norwich. Fun, friendly and relaxed group where you can laugh, share and enjoy creative writing. Forget your worries, all you need is a little imagination.

Create Craft Chat

3pm – 5pm

Create Craft Chat is a weekly drop in group who get together every Thursday, 1pm – 5pm.

A maximum of 9 people can attend in person, contact us to reserve your place. Option to take part online as well as in person.

Gamerados – Board Game Night

6pm – 9pm

Gamerados gets together on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month to play board games in a fun, friendly setting! They embrace the principles of the Camerados movement:

1) It is okay to fail – We are all a bit rubbish sometimes

2) Mix with people who don’t look like you

3) If we disagree, level with each other respectfully

4) Don’t try to fix other people, just be alongside them

5) If someone is struggling, try asking them to help you. This can give people purpose.

6) Always remember… have fun!

Information Drop-In: Voluntary Norfolk – Employment and Volunteering Support

11am – 1pm

Available on the first and third Friday of every month. Skills Connectors from Voluntary Norfolk will run informal sessions where anyone wishing to receive employment or volunteering advice or practical help in making applications can speak to them without an appointment.

 A group for people aged 18+ who are experiencing depression, bipolar or both. Just people sharing their views and experiences to help each other. Relaxed, respectful atmosphere.

Running and Walking Club

4pm – 5pm

The Shoebox Running and Walking Club is a friendly, supportive group for walkers and runners of all abilities. Whether this will be your first ever jog or you’re just looking for some company, the group will give you a warm welcome.
