Patient listener? Good with people? Join our Community Connectors team!

We’re delighted to be expanding our Community Connectors team and recruiting 2 additional Community Connectors to work in the North Earlham area of Wensum, as part of our ongoing partnership working with Norwich City Council.

We’re looking for individuals who enjoy talking, listening and connecting with others and want to help make their communities even better.

The Community Connectors project is focussed on specific communities in Norwich. Ideally candidates will live in North Earlham or have strong connections with the area.

The role of Community Connectors

Community Connectors have conversations with local residents (aged 18+) to discover what matters to them, what they are passionate about and what they would like to do with others to help them flourish in community life.

The conversations take place in a range of settings such as cafes, outside local schools, community events and door knocking. A summary of the conversations and key topics are recorded using journals, alongside other approaches the Connectors may identify or wish to test (eg audio and visual recording, community storytelling, sketch noting etc).

The journals are shared internally and with Norwich City Council and project partners to provide an insight of what has been discovered for more in-depth evaluation. The findings will be shared more widely with the community, local forums and colleagues to inform further learning and community development.
