As many of you know, we were expecting to lose the lease on our Castle Meadow community hub, which meant closing access to our one-of-a-kind medieval hidden street in April.
We’re delighted to announce that, due to the outpouring of support from tour-goers, social media followers, content creators and media outlets, our landlord has had a change of heart.
Our lease has been extended for another three years! 🎉
Whilst we’re really pleased about this, we don’t want to find ourselves in this position again. The only way to secure the future of our community hub and the ‘hidden street’ below the venue is to purchase the building.
We’re proud to be the stewards of the hidden street; a rare, fascinating and historically significant landmark that helps to make Norwich such a unique city. But there is the very real chance that it’ll be closed off to the public at the end of our renewed lease.
We will be launching a Crowdfunder campaign soon to help raise funds to try and buy the building so we can secure its long term future. We’ll share a link to the campaign once it’s live and we’d be grateful for any support you can provide in donating or helping to spread the word.

Thank you all so much for your continued support.
