Suzanne Brook’s is braving a chilly sponsored swim of the river Wensum to pay forward membership contributions to The Shoebox Community!
The Shoebox’s ‘pay what you can’ membership scheme gives members of the community access to a wide range of community groups and activities.
Suzanne completed her sponsored swim on 11th November 2023 and raised an amazing £190 for The Shoebox Community! Thank you, Suzanne!
We were so lucky with the weather that Saturday morning. My Dad was my support team, kayaking alongside me. I layered up and felt good in the water! I didn’t get a temperature – it may have changed my mindset! I swam from Ringland Hills to Taverham Mill. Getting out at the mill and changing I warmed up fairly quickly and consumed a hot chocolate and brownie which helped too!
So pleased to have raised nearly £200! Thank you to the Shoebox Hub for offering me complementary Chronicles of Christmas Tour tickets which I will attend with my Auntie and two girls.
