Unlock the benefits of our Shoebox Community. Open to anyone over the age of 18, our membership options offer you the opportunity to get involved at a level that is right for you.

There is so much we have to offer, from writing groups, bake clubs, games evenings and knitting circles to social support groups.

At the heart of it all is our mission to strengthen connections and support individuals to lead fulfilling, socially rich lives. Join us and discover a community where you can truly be yourself, forge new, lasting friendships and open doors you never knew existed.

 

Become a Member

Fancy giving us a go? Currently there are groups and activities available for you to join in Norwich and Great Yarmouth. It’s free to become a Shoebox community member but we suggest a donation of £3 per group to help cover costs. You can choose to donate as you go or to set up a regular donation.

By becoming a member, you’re not just helping to keep our doors open – you’re enabling more activities, community groups, and opportunities for connection.

 

‘Free’ Membership – Donations Welcome

Our peer support groups and social activities are partially funded by the profits from our experiences and tours and small grants but we rely on your generosity to keep them going.

We suggest a donation of £3 per group to help cover costs, but you’re welcome to contribute whatever you can afford. Some of our groups may have additional costs for materials or trips.

We know times are tough, and we don’t want money to stop you from being part of The Shoebox community. That’s why our weekly Community Coffee Mornings are always free of charge. If you’d like, you can make a donation toward teas, coffees, and running costs, but it’s completely optional.

Donations can be made in cash or by card at group sessions.

Every contribution, big or small, helps us keep these vital groups running.

We have groups and activities running on different days and times throughout the week and are growing our evening and weekend offering. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter to keep an eye on anything new that might take your fancy.

Want to start something of your own?

Lots of our members enjoy sharing their own passions and pastimes. If you’d like to run your own group, whether just a one-off or a weekly affair, then we’d love to hear your ideas.

Community groups and activities

Open to all ages 18+, our community groups and activities invite you to come and get involved. Coffee meet-ups? Creative writing groups? Perhaps crochet makes you curious? We host all sorts. Whether you’re a dab hand, completely new to something, or want to share one of your own passions, join us for some fun, laughter, and a good chinwag. Find your people and do more of what you love together.
